BuShea Butta began during a deeply personal turning point in my life. Breast cancer touched my family in a very real way. Watching my family memes go through their healing journeys changed how I thought about health and everyday habits. During that time, I started paying closer attention to the ingredients in the products we use daily and what I discovered was unsettling. Many skincare products contain aluminum and other ingredients that are questionable at best and harmful at worst. That knowledge stayed with me and pushed me to rethink what I was putting on my body.

Once I read that, I did more research then BuShea Butta was born.
I wasn’t looking to start a business at first. I was simply looking for something that we can all use that was natural and moisturized our skin. That search led me to shea butter. What made shea butter stand out was its purity. It doesn’t have chemicals, preservatives, or fillers.
Where does shea butter come from?
Shea butter comes from the shea nut, which grows on shea trees native to West Africa, especially Ghana. For generations, women in local villages have played a central role in harvesting the nuts and carefully transforming them through traditional methods until the butter naturally forms. This process not only preserves the integrity of shea butter but also supports the communities who have relied on it for centuries.
